This Site is dedicated to the memory of those who gave their lives to preserve the ideals that we all hold so dear. Freedom is not Free. If we fail to protect and preserve it, we could lose it.

Shipmates take Notice!

If you were Ship's Company and own a Cruise Book, please check your "In Memoriam" Pages for our lost shipmates. The Yeoman wants to create "In Memoriam" Pages on this Website to Honor and remember these, our missing Shipmates.

A simple favor, a little extra work for you, but a lasting Remembrance to those who lost their lives is worth the effort. For examples of what the Yeoman plans, click the Memorial Links below. If our list is missing some from your Cruise Book, or if you have any to report contact the Yeoman. If you wish to upload a file to the Yeoman, tell him in the Email and he will give you instructions on how to accomplish the File Upload.

"Precious in the sight of the LORD is the death of his saints."
Psalms 116:15

If it is Precious to the Lord, it certainly should be precious to us to keep their Memorials, that's what I am seeking to do, so lend a hand and help me out.

Thanks - Jake

It has come to the Yeoman's attention that there has been many of our Shipmates who made the ultimate sacrifice during their tenure of Duty aboard HANCOCK which, for some unknown reason, has been forgotten or not listed in any Memorials within the Cruise Books when they were lost. Many were not lost during a Deployment, but were lost during Training periods of the Ship; some were even lost while the Ship was in Dry Dock.

I do not want to allow these, our Shipmates to go forgotten but Remembered for who they were; how they served and when they were lost.

Therefore, it is my Solemn duty and also solemn promise that if at all possible, to list these our fallen Comrades on this Website in a Special Place of Honor and Remembrance. Therefore, I have initiated 'Project Remembrance' - you can help in making this effort a rewarding one; you can also help bring these, our Fallen back into Remembrance by your contributions.

We have had a measure of success in this Project and have now listed new additions to the Casualty Lists which we maintain on this Website. Follow the Links provided on this Page to visit these
Special places of Remembrance.
