THE ESSENCE OF SELF

Don't let men push you into casts of statues fine:
They are like unto bronze and are cold.
The prisons in life's bosoms, their compassion is nil,
there dwells not love; the inhibition
and coldness of their heart drives you
into the place of despair: where the
eternal ill-comprehension of self respect -
the loss in one's own comprehension -
is his own respect:

Don't be the tool of haughty hands,
their grasp is pain and hurt.
Don't be the ground on which they
trod, but be their sky above.
Don't shrink in fear of their hand, but nudge
them by your strength of mind to show
their meager lot!
Don't let men in the ego hinder you from
peace that stills, by material gains on
earth. They cannot mean a single weight
on the scales of human worth. Show them
that your years have paid a countless
price: To make your youth a man!

OF SELF

Don't let men force you into casts of statues fine: They are like unto bronze and are cold. Such becomes the prison in life's bosom: Ones lack of self respect...

Their compassion is nil; for in that prison, dwells not love, but disdain! The contempt and coldness of their heart drives you into the place of despair, where the eternal ill-comprehension of self respect, the loss in one's own comprehension of self, becomes his own respect for others.

Don't be the tool of haughty hands, their grasp is pain and hurt. You cannot gain one measure on the scales of human worth, through the harming of another fellow soul!

Don't be the ground on which they trod. No gain of self respect was ever attained through the lack of confidence in the power of one's being and his right to exist. Rather excel and tower over them through the Power and Light of your own Personal Excellence, and through your own understanding of self respect, become humbly better: become someone they can look up to and honor.

Don't shrink in fear of their haughty hand, but with your strength of character, nudge them by your persuasive mind, and reveal to them, the error of their evil intentions, thus exposing their meager lot! Shame then, will win them over to the better way: The Excellence of Gentility.

Don't let men in their ego hinder you from the Peace that stills: by their own material gains on earth... But through the integrity of your heart, show them that material gains on earth mean nothing without the comprehension of one's self respect. Show them through the integrity of your soul, that not one Material Gain on earth can mean more than the Comprehension of one's own self respect. By thus doing, show them that your years of struggle have paid a countless price: To justify your humanity and prove that you have a right to be, and this Right, no man can take from you, or hinder you in your Eternal Progress toward Personal Excellence.
