In Honor of my father, I would like to give Thanks to God for his life, and to acknowledge that his death has altered my life forever. I thank all of you who have made a tribute to his memory, and that I am moved by your testimonies. I like to think that those of you who knew him, will enjoy his company in Eternity and that we may meet one another, someday. I am who I am because of the integrity of my father and mother. I had a wonderful childhood with stable, supportive parents; and I grew up very proud to be Navy (I was never a brat!) Karen Lee Alexander.

Once again, a new year has come and the hands of time are swiftly turning. I often think of you, Shipmate, and I know that I and your loved ones will see you again some day beyond the Horizon. There, we will find no rough seas nor storms. Until then may we forever be mindful of those who gave their lives so that we may be a FREE PEOPLE. Jake

Ltjg Dewey Alexander; it has been 50 years now since I have seen you last; but I still can see your smiling face as I did those many years ago now. your family members have finally contacted me in 2008 and let me know they are pleased for the Tribute I have left in your name and honor. Lately, I received word that your devoted wife Marian has joined you in that Sweet Abode where we all hopefully will join him as well; time is fleeting, but not the memory for loved ones, even if we forget them due to old age or Alzheimer's Disease; our memories of Good things will be restored to us, even as will our Bodies reunite with our Spirits, to become a Whole Soul, Sanctified by our Savior and Redeemer, even Jesus Christ. So continue, Shipmate in that Blessed Rest until we all join with you in that "Sweet Bye 'n Bye. - Your Shipmate, Jake Jaccard

I remember him as Master Chief Dewey Alexander, but know there are many who knew him as LTJG Alexander.. No matter how you remember him or if you don't remember him at all; you will know by this Tribute that he was well loved by his family, Shipmates and friends. Rest in Peace, LTJG Dewey Alexander; we will meet again one day.. Jake Jaccard
